How to make it easier for all of us to vote

Should we end our 'divisive' 2-party system?

Here we go again.
If you thought voting irregularities last November swung the outcome, hang on.
Just wait until you see what could happen next.
Congressional Democrats aim to pass the “Vote at Home Act” to massively expand mailed ballots, automatic voter registration and pre-paid ballot envelopes.
Congressional Republicans have a contrasting bill to tighten verified voter registration and narrow rules for mail-in ballots to “strengthen election integrity and root out fraud.”
The Democrats’ bill to “fight voter suppression” will:
• Allow registered voters to use ballot drop boxes.
• Provide money to the US Postal Service to cover handling mailed ballot costs.
• Allow states to save money by closing polling places and reducing poll attendants.
• Require automatic registration if you give your ID to state motor vehicle offices.
Voters who do not want to remain registered would have 3 weeks to opt out.
Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-OR,  called it “a safe and secure way ... during covid-19.”
“We should continue to make voting easier, not harder.”
Critics of expanding vote-by-mail warn this increases the potential for voter fraud
President Donald Trump claimed the election was stolen and called for an investigation.
State election officials said they found no fraud  evidence.
A Democratic press release read: “All registered voters would receive ballots in the mail weeks before Election Day, allowing them to carefully research candidates and issues well ahead of Election Day.”
Here are 2 thoughts:
• Maybe we could do away with our “divisive” 2-party system. That way we could vote for any candidates 1 party puts on the ballot as they do in China.
• Maybe we could save even more money by doing away with elections altogether.
We want to know what you think, especially about our editor’s cantankerous views.
