A man was arrested for shooting into a car after a domestic dispute Wednesday night in Pelion.

Two people inside the car were shot, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, one of whom the department said was still in a hospital receiving treatment for a gunshot wound as of 10:19 a.m. Thursday.

“Kwame Marquis McKnight, 32, is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center,” reads a Facebook post from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. “Pending charges against McKnight include three counts of attempted murder, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.”

The alleged shooting took place in the 1700 block of Pine Street, the department says.

The Chronicle has requested copies of arrest warrants related to the incident.

The 1700 block of Pine Street (S.C. Highway 302) starts at the intersection with Glover Road just south of the Pelion town limits.
