2 Men Stabbed During Lexington Bar Fight

Posted

Two men were stabbed during a Lexington bar fight on Nov. 19.

Per a release from the Town of Lexington Police Department, officers responded to Twisted Roots Bar and Grill, located on Highway 378 just west of where the road splits off from West Main Street, at approximately 9 p.m. after receiving a report that a stabbing occurred during a fight involving “several patrons.”

“When officers arrived they found two victims who had been stabbed and immediately provided aid until Lexington County EMS arrived,” the release states. “The victims were transported to the hospital for care.”

Police determined that Lexington’s Scott Charles King, 61, was the alleged assailant, having “been involved in a fight with the two victims and pulled a knife on them.”

King stabbed both victims several times, the release alleges, but the wounds weren’t life-threatening.

“Scott King was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of Assault & Battery High and Aggravated Nature and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime,” the release elaborates.

He was given a bond of $45,000. The case has been sent to the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office for prosecution.

“The TR Family is disheartened by the unfortunate incident that has occurred,” the bar posted to its Facebook page on Nov. 20. “We try our best to provide the best environment for everyone to enjoy. We certainly do not support nor condone the behavior displayed by certain individuals.”
