The South Carolina Wrestling Coaches Association released its second round of team and individual rankings Thursday, with seven Lexington County programs making their classifications Top 20.
Chapin was ranked No. 2 in all of 5A. River Bluff is third, Lexington is 14th and Dutch Fork came in 20th. Gilbert is ranked sixth in the 3A rankings, and Pelion is 14th in the 2A/1A rankings. Gilbert is also ninth in the girls team rankings.
The athlete rankings place the top eight wrestlers from each weight class in the classification. There were 36 wrestlers from the county that received a ranking, including seven top-ranked athletes.
River Bluff had the most individual players ranked, with seven, including Edward Pitts and Joshua Neblo, who sit atop the 185-pound and 215-pound weight class.
