Posted

A new housing develpment is coming to neighboring Columbia right over the bridge.

Windsor/Aughtry Company of Greenville will redevelop the former Kline Iron and Steel property at the intersection of Huger and Gervais Streets.

The 7-acre site will be turned into a mixed-use development including 2 hotels, retail space, an office building and structured parking.

At completion of the entire development, over $92M will be invested into the site, leading to the creation of 250 full-time equivalent jobs.

The 1st hotel will be a 7 story, 146 room AC Hotel by Marriott which will include a 10,000 square foot rooftop bar.

A 2nd hotel is planned with 114 rooms, 75,000 square feet of office space, 350 parking spaces and other necessary infrastructure.
