3 Lexington County firefighters have been graduated from the SC Fire Academy.

Joshua Porter, Carson Banner and Caleb Dumaid of the County Fire Service were graduated from an 8-week firefighter candidate school.

They completed a 320-hour training program of classroom and hands-on fire fighting skills development.

The training includes emergency responder first aid training, hazardous materials operations training, auto extrication, flammable liquids and gas fire fighting, rescue training, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Firefighter I and Firefighter II levels.
