One arrest has been made after a barricaded standoff occurred on the 100 block of Palm Court on Sept. 22.

57-year-old Lexington resident Keith Dwayne Miles was taken to local hospital, Lexington Medical Center, for psychiatric treatment and evaluation.

Officers had been dispactched after a call was made regarding the kidnapping of a female victim. 

"Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the subject help the victim against her will for several hours. The victim had been assaulted during this time frame. She was able to escape and notify law enforcement," the press release read.

Miles has been charged with high and aggravated assault and battery and kidnapping. After he is released from the hospital, he will be transported to the Lexington County Dentention Center to await his bond court hearing.
