Lexington 2 closes schools for a week

Posted

All in-person Lexington 2 students will receive remote learning the 1st week back from winter break.

Classes from Monday, Jan. 4, to Friday, Jan. 8, will be remote for pre-K-12.

Those enrolled full-time in the Lexington 2 Virtual Academy will not be affected.

That week there will be no athletics, clubs, activities and/or events held on school grounds.

Free student meals will be offered for curbside pickup that week but must be reserved in advance through PayPams.com.

Details are available in the News section of the district website, lex2.org.

District officials hope a week-long remote learning will slow the exposure of students and staff to covid-19.
