Businessman elected to Irmo Town Council

Irmo businessman Bill Danielson won a special Town Council election last week.

He won Mayor Barry Walker’s Town Council seat with 270 votes.

Candidates Barbara Waldman had 265 votes, Mike Ward 110 and Art McClain 10.

Danielson owns Datapay SC, Inc., a payroll administration company, and KPR Associates, LLC, a real estate consulting firm.

Gov. Nikki Haley previously appointed him to the board of the SC Commission of Disabilities and Special Needs where he served as chairman for 2 years.
