Car wash opens in time for spring

Allergy sufferers have a new place to rinse pollen off their vehicles.

Andy’s Car Wash is officially open in Lexington on Columbia Avenue.

The Lexington Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon cutting.

Andy’s Car wash is new to Lexington, but it started in 1970 in Bluffton, IN, by Forrest “Andy” Andrews.

Owner Kevin Anderson told the Chronicle that this is the first car wash in the area, but he foresees more in the future.

According to manager Adam Anderson, the facility is state-of-the-art in a number of ways, like a safer conveyor system for the vehicles. Everything that touches the vehicles is made of neoprene which doesn’t absorb water and dries faster.

And they have a crew committed to customer satisfaction.
