Cookin’ with THE CHRONICLE

This is the perfect appetizer for a Christmas or New Year party! You can double this recipe! You can place on parchment paper and make this into a wreath or a Christmas tree and can cover in minced parsley as well! Make a snowman for the New Year, too. Spruce it up however you’d like. You can take this mouth watering, oletimey appetizer to any event. Don’t forget to add them pecans from Glenville, GA!

COLORFUL CHEESE BALL

2 pkg. (8-oz.) cream cheese, softened 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese 1 Tbsp. chopped pimiento 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper 1 Tbsp. minced onion 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. lemon juice

Dash of salt

Red pepper to taste

Chopped pecans

Combine all ingredients except pecans; mix well. Chill at least 1 hour. Shape into a ball and coat with pecans. Yield: 1 cheese ball.
