Community Club to hold BBQ sale

The Boiling Springs Community Club is having a BBQ fund-raiser October 27 from 3 to 6 p.m. There will be Pork BBQ at $10 a pound; chickens $10 whole, $5 half; and plates to-go for $10 for either chicken or pork. Pre-orders are preferred. Call M. L. Taylor at 803-894-3292. Proceeds benefit the building fund.

Pelion Library will host technology training October 10 at 10:30 a.m. for ages 18 and up. Registration is required for this event.

Preschool Storytime is October 10 at 11 a.m. for ages 2-5 years.

TeenScene will meet on October 11 at 6 p.m. for grades 6-12. They will participate in an Escape Room and use a combination of smarts and skills to solve puzzles, beat the clock and complete the ultimate goal to escape.

Pelion JV/V volleyball hosts Senior Night at the October 8 game at 5 p.m. Cross Country at Lugoff-Elgin meets October 10 at 5:30 p.m. Girls Tennis plays at Gilbert October 11 at 4:30 p.m. Varsity volleyball at King Academy on October 11 at 5 p.m. JV football plays at Swansea October 11 at 6 p.m. Powder Puff sign-ups are on-going at Pelion High School until October 19.

Entertainment line-up for the Pelion Peanut Party has been completed and will be published soon.

Pelion Senior Center will host Livingston’s October 5 so plan to get your fresh vegetables. Operation Show Box continues on October 9. The seniors will travel to Beulah Methodist Church October 11 for a program on Nutrition Education.

A reminder that if you plan to hunt within the town limits you must have a hunting permit issued by the town. These permits are available at the Town Hall/Police Department Building.

Any person who obtains a permit from the Town may hunt on his/her property as long as the property is larger than 15 acres and no hunting activities are conducted within 1,000 feet of a residence adjoining the property. A permit must be obtained annually and must be accompanied by a valid hunting license issued by the State of South Carolina.
