Congaree NP Theater reopens

Park has fully reopened, with a few exceptions

Congaree National Park continues to increase access after closing in Mid-March. The Amphitheater in the Harry Hampton Visitors Center will reopen this Friday, Nov. 13, following CDC guidelines.

The Amphitheater will begin playing Smithsonian's ”Museum on Main Street Water/Ways” movie during visitor center hours until Jan.13, 2021.

The movie dives into how essential water is to our life on our planet environmentally, culturally, and historically.

Congaree is almost fully reopened, only the exhibits inside the Visitor Center and half the campsites at Longleaf Campground remain closed.

All the park's trails have reopened and Congaree is free to visit.
