Starr Corley was elected Pelion maor pro tempore at the last council meeting. It was also mentioned that the sewer system is going out for bids. This system will be available for businesses and individuals.

Pelion Library hosts technology training January 22 at 10:30 am. Registration is required. The session will help participants with their computerss, tablet, or smart-phones. Preschool story time is January 22 at 11 am for ages birth to 5 years. The center will be closed on January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Books and Beyond meets January 21 at 3 pm. The topic is Royalty for a Day. Participants are encouraged to dress like a prince or princess and join the group for royal stories and crafts. This event is for grades K-5.

basketball plays at Edisto January 17 at 6 pm. JV/ MS wrestling meets at River Bluff January 18 at 9 am. Varsity wrestling meets at Westwood High January 18 at 9 am.
