A car wash and a grocery story have recently opened in West Columbia. 

Franks Car Wash has opened at 1707 Charleston Highway in West Columbia. It’s the old site of Ryan’s Steak House.

According to the company’s website there are 16 Frank’s Car Wash locations in South Carolina. The chain of car washes includes locations in: Orangeburg; Summerville; Ladson; Sumter; and Greenwood; in addition to Richland and Lexington counties.

A Riveras Supermarket is open into in the Airport Square Shopping Center on Airport Boulevard in West Columbia.

The new store has produce, meats, bakery items and all groceries. It even has some housewares. Riveras is where the Save-a-lot used to be, adjacent to the former Kmart store and across from Piggy Park BBQ. The sign also reads: Bakery-Meat Market.
