Lexington County deputies arrested a Gaston woman accused of trafficking meth Tuesday.
Gwenn Michelle Vandalen, 45, was arrested after deputies talked with her during a property crime investigation.
“Investigators were looking for a suspect in an ongoing larceny case when they encountered Vandalen,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said Friday. “She was in a camper on some property in the 600 block of Fallaw Road.”
Narcotics agents obtained a search warrant for the camper after finding Vandalen lying on a bed near some white powder and a crystal-like substance, according to Koon.
“We recovered more than 60 grams of meth from the camper,” Koon said. “Vandalen was arrested without incident and she’s still being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
