Gaston's First Baptist Church is celebrating 200 years
The First Baptist Church in Gaston will be holding its bi-centennial service on Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch being served afterwards.
In the past three years, the church has added 149 new members, 79 of those new memberships were received through baptism.
“God has blessed us and we are celebrating all He has done. To help commemorate this event, we will be having a tent revival from August 21st-23rd each night at 7 PM. Former Pastors will be coming and preaching and we will be having special singers each night,” Pastor Brady Henderson said in the press release.
