Gray Collegiate Academy guard Chase McDuffie dribbles past Christ Church guard Bennett Rogers in the 1st half of the Class 2A Upper State final played this past Monday at Lander University in Greenwood. The All-State senior scored 15 of his team-high 16 points in the 2nd half, all on 5 3-pointers which rallied the War Eagles from a 13-point deficit to take the lead twice in the 64-58 loss.

Lexington forward Maggie Green attempts a jumper over Wando’s Ava Green in the SC High School Class 5A Lower State qualifier at Wildcat Gymnasium. Cold shooting from the field and freethrow line sent the Lady Wildcats down to defeat 49-38 on Feb. 25. The Lady Wildcats were the lone remaining Chronicle Country girls’ basketball team in the playoffs. The 3-time Region 5-5A champions finished the season with a 8-4 record.
