G ood Works and the Chapin Rotary have combined forces to bless someone with a tiny, 500 square foot house. Good Works is not yet releasing the name. It is being built next to the old Chapin Theater.

Good Works and the Chapin Rotary have combined forces to bless someone with a tiny, 500 square foot house. Good Works is not yet releasing the name. It is being built next to the old Chapin Theater.

To volunteer to help build this tiny house, call 803-345-2030.

Here are a few other places to volunteer your time: The Oliver Gospel Mission, Meals on Wheels, Sharing God’s Love in Irmo, local food banks, Harvest Hope Foodbank, Goodworks Family Promise of the Midlands and Christ Central Ministries. Lighthouse for Life is new in the Midlands in the fight against sex trafficking.

LEXINGTON COUNTY needs your ideas in preparing a new Comprehensive Plan to address growth in the unincorporated areas.

CONGRATS to artist Karen Larrabee, the Chapin Town hall artist for October.

THE CHAPIN Ruritan Club is taking orders for sweet potatoes. The proceeds go to support the club’s community projects. The orders will be delivered the 1st week of November. Get a 40-lb. box for $25, or 20 pounds for $15. October 26 is the deadline. Call 803-223-5395 to place your order.
