How to stay active indoors

Posted

Covid-19 has had us cooped up inside for quite some time.

Being stuck indoors can make you less active.

Do you feel unmotivated?

Even if you’re not a fitness guru, being active is important to overall health.

Here are some simple exercises you can do at home.

Try for 2 sets of 15 repetitions of:

• Squats

• Inclined chest press - Make sure you are at a 45 degree angle.

• Wall sits

• Step downs

• Lunges

• Step ups - Do 2 sets for each leg.

• Side plank - Do sets for each side.

• Planks - Complete 2, 30-second sets.

These will help with endurance, balance and flexibility.

Exercising can boost your immune system and your mood.

Search YouTube or Google for videos on how to do the exercises correctly.
