Jerry Franklin Williamson, Sr., passed on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Feb. 2, 2023.

Born in Red Bank, S.C., son of the late James H. Williamson and Grace Smith Williamson. Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Gayle Hendrix Williamson; daughters, Abbigale Patterson, Robin (Jodie) Crouch; sons, Frank Williamson and Mark (Stacy) Williamson; grandchildren, Clay (Jessie), Bryan (Romona) and Jeremy (Heather) Patterson, Megan, Torrey and Walt Crouch, Samantha (Todd) Nichols, Gary (Christy) Price, Kylee and Taylor Smith with 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. 

He is predeceased by son, Harry Williamson; son-in-law, Jeff Patterson, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Dee Williamson; sisters, Louise (Frettie) Powell and Dorothy (Hammond) Wingard; brothers, Art (Oveda) Williamson and George Williamson.

Growing up and raising their family in Red Bank, he was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher for many years. He retired from Swift Meat Packing Co. after 33 years, then retired from Lexington County School District 1 with 10 years of service. He raised cattle and was an avid gardener, planting and propagating everything from produce to shrubs, trees and flowers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Red Bank Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
