Lexington County School District 1 will host its annual Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday.

The even will run from 8:30 - 11:30 am at Lexington High School, 2463 Augusta Highway, Lexington.

The district will provide teachers an opportunity to meet and speak with district administrators, principals and teacher leaders representing each of the district’s 30 schools, learn about the district’s programs, share their résumés and potentially interview for the 2019–2020 school year.

The district encourages interested teachers to preregister by completing the district’s online application at www.lexington1.net/ and to bring multiple copies of their résumés.

Lexington District 1 serves over 26,800 students from Pre-K to Grade 12 with more than 3,747 employees.

It has 30 schools (17 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 5 high schools, 1 technology center), as well as an alternative learning program called Alternative Educational Services.

During the past 10 years the district grew 5,052 students, an average of 505 new students per year and remains one of the fastest growing school districts in the state, ranking sixth in total enrollment.
