The Lexington County Chronicle’s graphic design and sales departments took home seven awards at this year's PALMYs, an S.C. Press Association contest, recognizing the best in print and digital advertising.
The recognitions span a variety of types of ads the team built for clients, from furniture, gifts and restaurants/nightlife to professional services and public service. SCPA contests are peer judged by member papers from other states.
Graphics Manager Cary Howard and Sales & Marketing Manager Kelly Mason earned first in home and garden for Nation Builders’ “Your Dream. Our Creation. Renovate with Nation,” first in fashion for Fleet Feet’s “Thank you,” second in food and alcohol for Diablo’s Southwest Grill’s “Thank you,” second in miscellaneous print ad for Duke Investigations & Consulting LLC’s “Need Help Finding the Truth,” third in health services for Riley’s Drugs’ “We’re here to help,” and third in small space for Floor Pro’s “Good as New.” Howard also earned second in special section or magazine for the spring and summer 2024 edition of Lakeside Magazine.
