Lexington Medical Center celebrates breast cancer survivors

Lexington Medical Center is hosting their annual Women's Night Out event to celebrate cancer surviors at the USC Pastides Alumni Center on Oct. 8.

Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 p.m. and is followed by a dinner featuring raffle drawings, a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors and a panel discussion that focuses on educating people about breast cancer.

"Women's Night Out focuses on creating awareness about breast caner and the surviors whose courageous fight provides hope and inspiration to others," according to the press release.

Donations at the event will benefit the Crystal Smith Breast Cancer Fund. The fund provides breast cancer patients with various essentials including post surgical kits for mastectomy patients, wigs and mammograms.
