The Lexington Youth Ballet will perform The Nutcracker on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 for the fifth year at the Lexington Two Performing Arts Center.
The ballet is directed by former principal ballerina for the South Carolina City Ballet Regina Willoughby and features 125 dancers ranging from preschool to high school, according to a press release.
The dancers will also perform at local elementary schools in Lexington County School District One as part of the ballet’s community outreach program.
On Dec. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m., the ballet will host a Cocoa with Clara event where attendees can meet and take pictures with Clara and other characters. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/4g0xg4P. The event will take place at the Summerlake Clubhouse in Lexington.
Dec. 7 will feature two performances, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., while Dec. 8 will have one performance at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at https://cur8.com/22918/project/125749.
