Who doesn’t love a good mystery?

The International Exhibit of Sherlock Holmes at the South Carolina State Museum offers just that. The family-friendly exhibit is a grand experience.

Visitors can learn about historical authors and forensic investigation. The exhibit provides details about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and the origin of the modern mystery novel.

There are over 100 objects and artifacts in the exhibit.

These items range from original manuscripts and photographs to human remains with wounds of interest for those interested in forensic science.

The hands-on, interactive stations start by teaching visitors about different sciences involved in solving crimes. Then visitors cross a threshold and are dis patched to solve a mystery. Museum spokersperson Jared Glover says the museum gets around 160,000 visitors each year.
