LEXINGTON – Funeral service for Nancy Rose King Rabon, 76, will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Shawn Barr officiating. Burial will be in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery, Lugoff, on Monday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Boone officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to South Carolina Oncology Associates Foundation.

Mrs. Rabon passed away at home on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James Carl King. Sr. and Nell Burden King. She received a Bachelor of Art degree from Winthrop University. She taught foreign language at Myrtle Beach High School, Sumter High School, Lugoff-Elgin High School, Dent Middle School and retired from Sandhills Middle School. She enjoyed gardening, reading but most of all spending time with her grandbabies.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Larry Richard Rabon; daughters, Ann Rabon Redd (Gene) of Windsor, S.C., and Patti Rabon Bailey (Dustin) of Swansea, S.C.; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Patricia “KK” Redd and Abbigayle Elizabeth “Abbi” Redd. She was predeceased by sisters, Betty Ann King and Frances Elizabeth “Hanky” Blizzard; and brothers, James Carl “Jimmy” King, Jr., and William Andrew “Billy” King.
