No-appointment covid tests

People all over the Midlands are scrambling to get a covid-19 vaccine.

Word of mouth alerted me to a “no appointment” drive through vaccine station at Gamecock Park across from Williams-Brice football stadium.

I tried it, and in less than an hour, I was leaving with my 1st shot and an appointment for the 2nd on Feb. 18

The system that PRISMA had set up was flawless.

There were 6-7 stations for registration, filling out paperwork and screening. Screening was manned by PRISMA employees and local volunteers. Some were from other hospitals.

What impressed me most was the cheerfulness of everyone there. They appeared to be genuinely happy to see everyone. It was a heartwarming experience.

Site manager John Hutt was quite informative and graciously answered my questions. You can go online to Prismahealth.org/registration for more details.
