Pedestrian dead after Pelion collision

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fishers has identified the person who died in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Oct. 19 at 7:10 p.m.
Madelein Lopez-Resendiz, 25, of Pelion was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on the 100 block of Hartley Quarter Road.
According to the press release, the driver did not stop and fled the scene. Lopez-Resendiz sustained injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
