The Town of Irmo continued its push to hold more events in its Community Park on March 23. A large picnic enclosure around the corner from the park's Prisma Health Amphitheater was the site for the first Alive After Five concert, with local band Natalie and the Boys peforming a cover-rich set in front of a modest crowd.
Food trucks offering pizza and breakfast skillets were on site, as was a trailer serving beer and wine. Dogs chilled and children played as adults kicked back with beverages and relaxed to the music.
The monthly series, put on by LNM Promitons with help from the town and the Irmo Chamber of Commerce, is set to continue monthly. The group will also put on its Springfest on May 20 at the amphitheater, a follow-up to the Fallfest it put on there in October.
