The annual Kid’s Day of Lexington was back in action April 29, with what looked like thousands in attendance. The imprint of the annual festival intended to educate families about healthy safety and environmental awareness was different this year due to ongoing renovations in Virginia Hylton Park, with demonstrations and vendors set up along Maiden Lane and performances taking place in Icehouse Amphitheater. Kids were given T-shirts to wear and free items were available to them, such as books, crayons, food, toys and more.
