Horse Crossing Farm, which describes itself as a “mini farm nestled beside the railroad tracks within the town limits of Lexington,” hosted a Christmas Family Farm Day Dec. 17, inviting the community out to see the property. The sold-out event showcased the farm that teacher Brittany Matthews started in 2019, allowing people to feed vegetables and other snacks to animals such as horses, alpacas, rabbits, ducks, pigs and a cow. Two of the three alpacas are recent additions to the farm.
