Photos: Parade of Lights rolls through Cayce, West Columbia

Posted

On Dec. 10 the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce put on its annual Parade of Lights. Guests who attended the parade got to witness the Grinch getting “thrown” into a garbage truck, fire trucks decked out in lights, extravagant floats, and they got candy.

The parade started at Cayce City Hall and then worked its way down 12th Street, ending at the intersection with U.S. Highway 1/Meeting Street.

Along the route, families lined the street with chairs and blankets, making themselves comfortable to view the parade. At the CWC Chamber office – AKA (for the day) The North Pole –  guests were able to get their faces painted, listen to live music and visit with Santa.

It was a happy return for the parade, which was forced to cancel in 2021 due to inclement weather.
