Roberta Bee Palling Lorick

Roberta Bee Palling Lorick, 87, passed peacefully away on 04-03-2020 at Waccamaw Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was born on 01-23-1933 in Tacoma, WA; the daughter of Bertha M and William R Palling.

She resided in Lexington, SC, from 1956 until 2014 when she relocated to Murrells Inlet, SC. She was formerly employed by the SCDEW in Columbia, SC, and also sold Real Estate in the Lexington, SC, area.

She is survived by her son, Davis A Lorick Jr of Surfside Beach, SC; her former daughter-in-law, Rita S Milano of Conway, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Norma Dodge and Wanda Bouckhout both of CA, and her former husband, D. Alex Lorick Sr. of Surfside Beach, SC.

Visitation was held on Sunday 04-05-2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday 04-11-2020 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lexington, SC. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, both events will be private. However, a celebration of Roberta’s life will be announced by the family when finalized.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to the Management and Staff at National Health Care in Garden City that provided wonderful care for Roberta over the last several years.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Burroughs Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home of Lexington, SC is in charge of the burial arrangements.
