What should I drink? Most of us battle this decision every day. We may consider what flavor will quench our thirst or what we’re in the mood for. What if you thought about it a different way? I grew up drinking Coca-Cola as a child and into adulthood. I had to have that glass bottle of Coca-Cola when I was little girl. My dad would take me to get them. I loved those trips. What I never thought about was this: you should drink up to an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. Americans drink on average about 56 gallons of soda a year. If you drink more than two sodas a day, you’re at risk for potential health problems. Next time you are challenged at home, the grocery store or at a restaurant for dinner, remind yourself of these comparisons to make a healthier you.
