Halloween at the Park
Bring the family to Crooked Creek Park (1098 Old Lexington Hwy.) for the Halloween at the Park event. The Trick-or-Treat Trail will take you through the scenic disc golf trails and lead to the soccer fields at the back of the park. There, you’ll find a Glow Party, food trucks, inflatables, games, s’mores, and a hayride that will shuttle you back to the main parking lot. Registration is required for this event. Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the gate. Visit icrc.net/register to sign up.

Haunted History
The Lexington County Museum transforms into something spookier with its Haunted History tour. Ghoulish guides lead a spooky but not-too-scary journey through the museum property, telling ghostly stories, exploring strange and unusual events in Lexington County’s history, and revealing the strange remedies of the 19th century. The 45-minute tours run from 7 to 10 p.m., and admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Visit lexingtoncountymuseum.org for more information.

Tokyo Joe’s 4th Annual Breast Cancer Research Funraiser (concert)
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) welcomes one of the Midlands’ most popular bands back to rock for a good cause. Tokyo Joe’s 4th Annual Breast Cancer Research Funraiser features performances from the band, The Root Doctors, and Prettier Than Matt, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Fall Foliage Guided Paddle
Saluda Shoals Park (5605 Bush River Rd.) hosts a leisurely guided fall foliage paddle. Learn about the natural history of the local area, explore one of two island destinations to ride the rapids, learn about the Lake Murray Dam, swim, observe local wildlife and more. This family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and waterproof shoes are recommended. Admission is $50 for adults and $30 for children 12 and under. Visit icrc.net for more information.

Howl-O-Ween at the Park
Crooked Creek Park (1098 Old Lexington Hwy.) invites you, your furry friends and the family to Howl-O-Ween at the Park. Dress your pet in a costume and enjoy a free Treat-Trail filled with vendors offering treats, candy, photo ops for your pet, and more. The Birthday Concert featuring Mike LeDonne (concert)
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) and the SC Jazz Masterworks Ensemble welcome Hammond B-3 organ master Mike LeDonne. The show celebrates LeDonne’s 68th birthday with selections from the 200+ recordings he has appeared on. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., and tickets cost between $55 and $65. Deceased Farm Haunted Attraction
Clinton Sease Farm (382 Olde Farm Rd.) transforms into something far scarier for Halloween: Deceased Farm. Experience a self-guided tour through six terrifying buildings, three outdoor zones, and creepy cornfields, all inhabited by unspeakable creatures hoping to make you this year’s harvest. Babcock Center’s Jingle Jam Music Festival
Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St.) hosts an all-day party with the Babcock Center’s Jingle Jam Music Festival. Enjoy live music from Prettier Than Matt, Brian Conner, The Reggie Sullivan Band, and Chris Reed, along with a cornhole tournament, a silent auction, raffles, and pictures with Santa. Monday, Oct. 28

Boo at the Zoo
Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.) invites you and the kids to one of their best-known annual traditions, Boo at the Zoo. The spooktacular event offers trick-or-treating and other family-friendly Halloween-themed activities throughout the park. Wednesday, Oct. 30

Merchant Treat Trail
The Irmo Village Shopping Center (7571 St. Andrews Rd.) hosts a Merchant Treat Trail for Halloween. Bring the whole family out for safe Halloween fun from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is hosted by Saint Michael Lutheran Church and Craft & Draft and features special appearances from Irmo police and fire departments. Thursday, Oct. 31

Hall of Horrors
The Hall of Horrors Haunted Attraction (1153 Walter Price Rd.) has risen from the grave once again to give you a fright. The Hall is set on the abandoned Blackwell family farm, long avoided by locals due to the legend of Agnes Blackwell. "Locals warn that her ghost roams the cemetery on moonlit nights, a chilling reminder of the consequences of betrayal and the power of a vengeful spirit." The Hall of Horrors Haunted Attraction runs from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., and admission is $15. Visit hallofhorrors.org for more information.

Across the county line

The SC State Museum (301 Gervais St.) invites you to a spooky history lesson with its Dark History tour on Friday, Oct. 25. Discover the true story of Columbia’s catacombs, a series of mysterious tunnels built to hide anything from politicians to Confederate gold. Hear stories from Gullah Geechee folklore and learn about the path Gen. Sherman took during his march through Columbia. Tours run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are included with museum admission. If you’re looking for a wild day of family fun, head over to the Blythewood Rodeo (10433 Wilson Blvd.) on Friday, Oct. 25 for the Blythewood Classic Fall Rodeo. See current and past world champions compete alongside other nationally ranked cowboys and cowgirls across eight rodeo events. In addition to the competitions, there’s also family entertainment and a wide selection of food and drinks available. The event begins at 5 p.m., and admission costs between $12 and $20. The Village Church (2204 Park St.) invites you to a hauntingly good time as Elmwood Park Neighborhood presents the Nightmare in Elmwood 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 26. This ghoulishly entertaining event will take place in the heart of downtown Columbia, featuring a scary course through the historic Elmwood Park neighborhood. Bring the kids to Colonial Life Arena (801 Lincoln St.) on Saturday, Oct. 26 for the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party. This event brings fan-favorite Hot Wheels Monster Trucks to life, including Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Demo Derby, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot and many more.
