On Tuesday, Oct. 12, the Lexington County Chronicle and The Fish Wrapper newspapers will hold a debate between the 4 candidates for Mayor of Swansea.

The debate will begin at 7 pm and end by 9 pm.

The candidates are Hunter Hackett, current Councilman Michael Luongo, Viola McDaniel and past Mayor Ray Spires.

The debate will be held at the Freshman Academy.

Some questions will come from the public at the debate. The public will be giv en index cards to write their questions for the candidates on concerns they have for the town and what the candidates plan to fix or change the topic asked about.

The candidates will be allowed 3 minutes to answer the question.

The candidates will have an opening and closing statement.

Please be there early to be able to submit your questions to the moderator. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.
