Thomas Price joins Lexington County Chronicle as tennis columnist

Posted

Lexington County Chronicle readers will now enjoy a local and national tennis perspective.

Thomas Price is joining the Chronicle as a tennis columnist.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina-Aiken with a degree in history and minor in anthropology, Price has always had a passion for writing.

He originally planned to study history, but a research assignment for the Support for Minority Advancement in Research Training program better known as SMART through the University of South Carolina reignited his love for writing.

His interest in tennis started at Anderson University when he became friends with international students who played on the college men’s tennis team.

After transferring to USC-Aiken, Price became friends with the entire Pacers’ men’s tennis team and stays in contact on a daily basis.

Watch for Price’s first column in print and online in the Sept. 13 Chronicle.

If anyone is interested in passing along tennis story ideas to Price, contact him at thomasprice010@gmail.com. He will gladly comment on local, state and national tennis news and information.

GEORGE BRYAN COLUMN 2B.
