Victim Identified in Lexington Apartment Complex Shooting

Posted

Tyler Bradley Robinson, a 29-year-old from Lexington, has been identified as the man who was shot and killed at Lauren Ridge Apartments early on July 9.

According to a Facebook post from the Lexington County Coroner’s office, he was transported from the apartment complex off Augusta Road (U.S. 1) in Lexington “to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead due to a gunshot wound to the upper body.”

The Lexington Police Department continues to investigate the incident.

"At approximately 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the complex and found a man outside in the stairway who had been shot in the upper body," the department describes in a news release released July 9. "Officers provided aid until Lexington County EMS arrived and transported the victim to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased."

The department said it believes residents of the complex might have seen or heard the situation that led up to the shooting and that details, including a vehicle driven to the complex during the incident, may have been caught on security cameras.
