Happy Wheels will egg your yard

Posted

Lexington County homes were “egged” this weekend but not by pranksters.
Happy Wheels did the egging for a good cause.
The non-profit delivers toys free to hospitalized children all over the state.
Through March 27,  he “Egg Your Yard” campaign allows families in Lexington, Irmo and Columbia to sign up and have plastic eggs filled with candy and toys hidden in their yards for their kids to hunt.
Happy Wheels volunteers do the hiding.
The eggd cost $1 each.
100% of the proceeds going to Happy Wheels'mission to bring smiles to the faces of hospitalized children.
“It has taken so many hands to make this happen and we are grateful for all of it,” said Happy Wheels Executive Director Tracey Rankin. “The pure joy on these kids’ faces says it all.”
Rankin said people have donated to have other families’ yards “egged” as an act of kindness.
Donations are also accepted to egg the yards of families whose children have recently been hospitalized.
