I did not give 20 of the best years of my life to conform to socialism or communism.

I spent 3 years and 3 months in Vietnam dodging bullets, rockets, mortars and an occasional punji trap, plus 2 years in Iraq dodging terrorist death threats.

I have no intention of obeying any stupid freedom-robbing mask laws.

I refuse to wear a mask and have my freedom infringed. If the authorities want to waste their time writing me a ticket, so be it. I will only request a jury trial.

If a jury finds me guilty, I will refuse to pay the fine and I guess the county will have to pay for my incarceration plus medical expenses. I have no place important to be so it would make no difference if I spend time in jail or at home.

If the mask is such a good thing, the person wearing it should be well protected and have no worries about me. I should be the one who is worried but I am not. I refuse to go through life being afraid.

I do all my shopping in Lexington County and I suggest you look and see how many county residents wear masks. I cannot find more than 10% to 15% wearing masks. The majority are not scared, gutless people.

The county can pass a mask law and I believe a lot of you will find yourselves on the sidelines in the next election.

About the covid-19 deaths

In case you want to add more information to your reporting, 2/3 of the states have a higher death rate than South Carolina. We are at least in the bottom 1/3 of the states in regards to covid-19 deaths.
