THE CITY OF West Columbia asks residents to post photos of your beautified yards. City officials said, “Many citizens have taken advantage of the beautiful weather and extra time at home to beautify yards and clean up properties.”

The city wants you to let everyone on social media see what you’ve done.

“We would love for you to take pictures of your yards, porches, balconies or renovations and post them to social media using the hashtag #wecohomes.”

Yesterday’s Restaurant and Tavern in 5 Points is closing after 43 years and will not reopen. A post on Yesterday’s Twitter account reads: “It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we’ve decided to hang it up for good. “We extend love and thanks to all of you who came along for the ride. This community made work feel like home for us (long before that was a thing). Nothing brought us more joy than making y’all comfortable. Take care of yourselves.”

Yesterday’s was known for its “man in a bathtub” atop the entrance to its Devine and Harden Streets location.
