1 dead after single-vehicle accident in Lexington

Christopher Areheart, 70, of Lexington, was positively identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident on April 21.

The accident occurred in the 1300 block of Nazareth Road in the Lexington area.

The press release stated Areheart was traveling northbound when he veered onto the left side of the roadway, hitting a utility pole and a tree. 

Areheart was wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office will continue to investigate the incident.
