Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man killed in a single-vehicle crash that took place in the 2500 block of Charleston Highway.

Terry Wainwright Mitchell Jr., 48, of West Columbia, was driving south on Dec. 27 when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. 

Mitchell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene according to the release.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the City of Cayce Police Department are investigating the incident.
