The 10th Annual Blowfish Baseball Shamrock Parade was held on Sunday, March 9 in Lexington. The parade began with a Color Guard from Fort Jackson and the Grand Marshal this year was Maj. Gen. Daryl Hood of Fort Jackson. Before the Shamrock Parade began, the Ice House Amphitheater had activities for the children to enjoy. Those included an inflatable bounce house, face painting and more. Hundreds of people came to watch the parade dressed in their St. Patrick’s Day green attire. The hub of the parade was in front of O’Hara’s restaurant. Radio station WCOS 97.5 DJ Jonathan Rush was the announcer for the entries in the parade. Bill and Vicki Shanahan, owners of the Blowfish Baseball team, were also present. Everyone attending looked like they had a great time; it was a family-fun event.
