11th Annual Shamrock Parade filled downtown Lexington with green and fun

Posted

The 11th Annual Blowfish Baseball Shamrock Parade was held in Lexington on Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m. Parade Grand Marshals were the Town of Lexington Mayor Hazel Livingston and town council members. In attendance were council members Ron Williams and Jeannie Michaels. In honor of Abraham the Camel (who passed away last fall) were Abraham’s owners, Lexington County Councilman Clifford Fisher and his wife, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher. Their newest family member is Abraham 2.0 (Li’l Abe), who made his first parade appearance. He was born on Thanksgiving Day in Illinois. Emcee was 975 WCOS Midlands Radio Legend Jonathon Rush / The Morning Rush. The parade was well attended, and most of the attendees wore Saint Patrick’s Day green. This was a family-friendly event, and it appears everyone had a great time.
