14 Mile Creek Trail closed due to flooding damage in Lexington

Posted

Flooding repairs are soon to be underway at the 14 Mile Creek Trail due to flooding.
Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall said the popular attraction is at the corner of Old Cherokee Road and North Lake Drive.
MacDougall said it was the perfect place for families and their dogs to take a walk.
Work to fix it will begin when it dries out.
Fixing the damage, the mayor said, depends on when the area can dry out. Caution tape is up, warning residents to stay away for public safety. The park has been closed since June 10.
A bridge has been washed out on the trail.
