With the spring sports season coming to a close, it’s almost time for the state’s best-of-the-best to come together for friendly all-star events.

Rosters for South Carolina’s two major soccer events were recently released, and 16 Lexington County athletes and three coaches made the cut. Seven players and a coach will participate in the Clash of the Carolinas, while nine players and two coaches will play in the North-South games.

The Clash of the Carolinas is the nation's only interstate prep soccer all-star event. The 2026 event will be held at the CSA OrthoCarolina Sportsplex, home of Charlotte Soccer Academy, in Pineville, N.C.

In the boys’ game, Chapin duo Jacob Braden and Jalen Tucker will try to help the South Carolina squad take down their enemies from the north. They’ll be under familiar guidance as Chapin’s Bob Taylor will coach the team.

Tucker and Braden have been crucial pieces on Chapin’s 2026 team. The pair helped the team get off to a (12-3) start as the Eagles are closing in on a region title.

The girls' game will feature a more diverse offering of local talent. Three schools will be represented in the game, with Chapin, Lexington and River Bluff all receiving selections.

Sydney Stoner and Lila Bowers are from Chapin, Bela Charriez and Brooke Ogorek play for River Bluff and Adriana Dunat represents Lexington.

The 2026 Clash of the Carolinas game will be played on June 20.

The North-South game is the traditional all-star format in South Carolina. This year’s group of Lexington County selections will all be a part of the South team.

Gray Collegiate’s presence will be felt, with two players chosen for each event. Girls head coach Emily Heise will also be present as a coach for the South team.

River Bluff and Lexington each have one player in the games, and Gator boys head coach Thad Miller will take part.

Swansea’s Ernesto Marceleno-Brazell also earned a spot on the team.
