2019-2020 S.C. BASKETBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION’S ALL-STATE SELECTIONS

This year’s S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s All-State team included 7 Chronicle Country selections.

For the 4th consecutive year, a Gray Collegiate Academy player was selected as the Class 2A Player of the Year. Forward Latavian Lawrence was this year’s recipient, following in the footsteps of past winners Jalek Felton, Juwan Gray and last year’s winner Tommy Bruner.

In addition, teammate Tauris Watson joined Lawrence on the All-State Class 2A team.

Also making the All-State teams from Chronicle Country were guards Cameron Scott of Lexington and Region 5-5A Player of the Year Myles Jenkins of River Bluff in Class 5A boys. In Class 5A girls, selected were guards Alexis Sexton of Lexington, Region 5-5A Player of the Year Japonica Wilson of River Bluff and Ehrial Wagstaff of Irmo.
