Police arrested 3 Columbia residents Jan. 13 after deputies found catalytic converters during a traffic stop.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said the trio was found with catalytic converters and tools commonly used to remove the car parts during a traffic stop near Lake Murray.

Joshua Devon Gantt, 27, is charged with transporting nonferrous metals, criminal conspiracy, unlawful neglect of a child, simple possession of marijuana, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving under suspension, according to arrest records.

Montavius Javon McClelland, 26, is charged with transporting nonferrous metals.

Luckie Danielle Robinson, 25, is charged with transporting nonferrous metals, criminal conspiracy and unlawful neglect of a child.
